Fantasy Age: One a day R/M

This will be the first in my series of posts that will include one new Monster and Race a day for Fantasy AGE! First up is a conversion from the Pathfinder Bestiary 3 the Adaro. It also comes with a bonus stat block for a Shark since it is necessary for them.

The Adaro are pack hunters using sharks to overwhelm the opponent with the Skirmish and Set Up stunts while they charge in and hope to get off a Mighty Blow, Knock Prone, or Poisoned Spear stunt.
If things are looking bleak they can always call in another Adaro or more Sharks for help, assuming more are nearby which they usually are. As a very situational ability they have Rain Frenzy which makes an Adaro quite the formidable foe, using Mighty Blows as much as possible to destroy their enemies.

Adaro

This hybrid of human and shark holds its spear menacingly, thick, glistening saliva dripping from its razor-sharp teeth.

While it is raining an Adaro can use the Mighty Blow or Knock Prone stunt for one less stunt point.

A Adaro can coat it's spear in poison as a
special stunt costing 2 SP. The poison debilitates the victim,
who suffers a –2 penalty to Dexterity, Fighting, and Accuracy until the end of the encounter or until they receive magical healing.

Shark Call:
An Adaro can call in two sharks or another Adaro near by as a Stunt costing 3 SP.

Favored Stunts:
Mighty Blow, Skirmish, Knock Prone, Shark Call, Poisoned Spear.

Fantasy Age Race:
Aracoix

Of all the new creatures encountered since the Turning, the avian humanoids who Men have come to call Aracoix are the most remarkable. At first many thought them to be nothing more than a strange, sorcerous fusion of Man and Hawk, perhaps created by the Elves to use as slaves and soldiers. Others thought them to be old creatures previously undiscovered, who had lived in some isolated corner of the World but now roamed far through the use of the Runegates. Magi and Loremasters now believe Birdmen are creatures from another World entirely, who have journeyed to the fragments of our World by methods unknown. Civilized and noble, the Birdmen are a race barely understood by the other Children of the World. When first encountered, Humans judged the Aracoix to be primitive and savage aberrations, but time has proven these assumptions completely incorrect. Hunted without mercy and driven into hiding, the Aracoix are fierce warriors and brilliant hunters that bear little love or trust for any of the peoples of the World. Rumors tell that the Aracoix disdain all Gods and religions, and are profoundly suspicious of all Magic.

Add 1 to your Fighting ability

Pick one of the following ability focuses: Intellegince (Military Lore) or Perception (Seeing)

You have natural wings which allow you to fly.
When using the charge action while flying add +4 to your speed.

Your speed is equal to 10 + Dexterity.(minus armor penalty if applicable)

Aracoix Benefits:
2 +1 Constitution
3-4 Focus: Willpower (Courage)
5 Weapon Group: Spears*
6 Focus: Commuinication (Leadership)
7-8 +1 Dexterity
9 Focus: Intelligence (Cultural Lore)
10-11 Focus: Strength (Intimidation)
12 +1 Strength

*If the class you choose provides this already, you can take the Focus Fighting: Spears instead.

The Aracoix are a proud warrior race that prides itself in it's military strength. They typically use spears and throwing spears using charge actions to blitz the enemy from the skies with back up from ranged weaponry. The young Aracoix who have chosen to abandon the militarism are strong willed and are great explorers who always love to see new things.

Welcome to 5 Gold and a Party!

Welcome to 5 Gold and a Party!

This is my Table Top RPG blog, I will mainly be posting about the new Fantasy AGE RPG
by Green Ronin. The name of this blog is inspired by Titans Grave: The Ashes of Valkana a game run in the Fantasy AGE system by Wil Wheaton.

But before I begin how about a little info about me, I am a 21 year old DM from California with a love of OSR games, D&D 5e, Anime, and now Fantasy AGE. I have been DMing for 7 years now and I am told I am quite good at it by my group.

My reason for starting this blog is to have a place to write down some of my thoughts regarding various RPG's and also just for the fun of writing it we will see how that works out as time progresses. The first things I will be working on is probably some fun new races for AGE, likely ones from the old MMO Shadowbane and possibly a Witcher race as well. I might try to do a Race and A Monster a day just to keep myself fresh and keep my mind going in RPG related ways.

So if you are interested in new stuff for the AGE system or for various other RPG ramblings at times keep an eye on this blog that's what I will be up to.
